Emphasis is placed on learning new skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
Standings and scores are not kept in this division.
It's not whether they win or lose, but how they play the game.
Parent Involvement and Volunteerism
Interested in volunteering?
The success and future direction of the league is based on all of the hardworking volunteers who are involved in the league.
We really need parents to help with our league. Just think of the satisfaction you will get from knowing that you are spending
quality time with your child during these very important years. We know that most of us lead very busy lives and it is difficult to find time,
but it is worth the effort and you will not regret it.
You can make a difference!
If you would like to volunteer, or have any questions please contact the appointed league representative pertaining to your question.
Please click on the "Contacts" tab for representative contact information.
Also, plan to attend our league meetings held the 4'th Tuesday of every month starting October and running through June.
LEAGUE BY-LAWS / RULES / REGULATIONS
Our league rules are taken from the United States Specialty
Sports Association (USSSA) Rule Book. We have modified some of these rules to help make our
league run smoother. Click the following links for a copy of our rule books:

PARENTS CODE OF ETHICS
We must keep in mind we are an example to our children, both
on, and off the softball field. Please remember to control your emotions and actions while the
girls are playing ball. If a manager or umpire has to address behavioral actions before,
during, or after the game it may result in your child's team forfeiting the game. Arguing or
threatening anyone, harassment of an umpire, manager, coaches or players could also result in
a forfeit. Inappropriate language is not tolerated in this league and will result in a forfeit.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.
Since the inception of the league in 1970, girls softball has been our focus. Registration for the league
is open for any girl residing in Macomb Township or Clinton Township attending Chippewa Valley, Utica or Fraser Schools.
Once a girl is a member of the Clinton-Macomb Girls Fastpitch League, she retains eligibility for life.
In 1996, the league initiated the CVGSL Scholarship Fund for former or current players graduating from Chippewa Valley High school.
In 1998, the league added a scholarship for former or current player's graduating from Dakota High School.
Additionally, an "at large" scholarship was added for former or current players regardless of which high school they graduate from.
Eligibility is as follows:
- Graduating high school senior.
- Have a minimum of 4 years playing in the league.
- Have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
- Parental involvement is a consideration but not a requirement.
Scholarships are awarded at the annual banquet.
